South Liverpool Homes has once again placed itself amongst the top organisations in the country after retaining the prestigious Investors in People (IIP) Gold Award, securing the highest score possible.
South Liverpool Homes, which employs over 90 people, underwent a rigorous assessment by Investors in People which included interviews with colleagues chosen randomly by an external assessor. They were assessed against 196 indicators and met the IIP standard in every single one of these indicators, demonstrating an exceptional standard of people management. South Liverpool Homes now joins an elite group of organisations who have received this ‘perfect score’.
Investors in People Assessor Michael Lynch said: “Tremendous leadership was displayed at SLH which was strong, dynamic, enthusiastic and extremely visible. The style of leadership deployed by senior management had resulted in people feeling valued, well-resourced and firmly committed to providing a first class service to the customers.”
He added: “I encountered a proud, dedicated and loyal staff group who was very passionate about their roles and always wanted to go the extra mile for the tenants.”
IIP highlighted a number of areas for praise; their well-established core values, The Every’s, which “were as strong as ever, certainly affecting the way people work at South Liverpool Homes and all people interviewed could identify a direct link to the values and had good ownership of them.”
Their first-rate customer focused philosophy was also commended where colleagues were described as ‘passionate, committed and totally focused; their sheer dedication and intention to always fully support customers can only bode well in terms of meeting the current and future customer’s ongoing needs.”
Julie Fadden, Chief Executive of The SLH Group said “This is fantastic news and testament to the hard work and dedication of every single colleague at SLH.”
“Our Every Person Positive strategy allows people to flourish and empowers colleagues to make a real difference to our communities and our business” continued Julie. “This shone through in their feedback and we couldn’t be more delighted with this top score which re-endorses what we already know – that SLH is a very special and unique place to work.”
To achieve gold status, organisations must show exceptional working practices in areas such as leadership, learning and development, performance measurement and involvement and empowerment. Organisations must achieve a gold score of at least 165 evidence points out of 196 to achieve the gold standard. South Liverpool Homes achieved the full 196 points
SLH’s Gold IIP status is a further external validation of their innovative approach to employee engagement. Earlier this year they took the number one position in the ’The Sunday Times Best Not-For-Profit Company to work for’ list for the third year running and were highly commended for their health & wellbeing initiatives at the recent HR Excellence Awards.
