SLH judged 'outstanding' in an elite national survey

South Liverpool Housing (SLH) has joined a prestigious group of organisations to be labelled an ‘outstanding’ employer. 

SLH, which employs 100 staff, achieved a two star ‘outstanding’ rating in a national survey developed by Best Companies which acknowledges corporate excellence in workplace engagement.  The accreditation follows a Michelin style rating where one star is first class, two stars are outstanding and three stars are extraordinary.  The survey, which is confidential and voluntary, is designed to measure employee engagement and uses 70 questions to gain a comprehensive view of employee engagement.

Competition was high this year as over 1000 companies applied to achieve star status, up 37% on last year.  SLH was one of just 72 organisations in the North West to make the outstanding category.

This is a fantastic accolade and a step up for SLH following the award of one star in previous years.  Although a first class rating was commendable, the organisation sought to improve on this result.  They took on board all the information received in the last survey and addressed the areas where they could improve to achieve a highly creditable two star status.
