We are committed to involving tenants and the community in how your homes and neighbourhood are managed. Getting tenants involved is essential in delivering better services and improving the quality of life for the South Liverpool community.
We have recently carried out a review of the way we involve our tenants. Residents and other organisations were asked their opinion to help us decide how to improve the way you can have your say on the way we are delivering services to you. In particularly the review looked at how we can increase the number and diversity of tenants who are involved with SLH.
After lots of consultation we have changed the ways you can get involved in shaping the services we deliver to you. Below is the new resident involvement structure.

We have lots of different ways for you to get involved with various commitment levels to suit your lifestyle.
Tenant Assembly
At the heart of the new structure is the Tenant Assembly. This assembly will bring together for the first time all tenants who want the opportunity to be involved in some way and to play some part in the services we deliver. To be part of the tenant assembly you must be actively involved with SLH at some level, whether that be taking part in the questionnaire group, becoming a mystery shopper or being a member on SLH’s board.
Below are just some of the ways you have influenced SLH services by getting involved:
- you inputted a new appointment system for repairs that meet the tenants needs
- you changed the way SLH performance information was presented so that it was easier for tenants to understand
- you inputted into the redesign of SLH's new website
- you have been involved in the proposed boundary treatment programme
- you have actively taken part in the Tenant Services Authority (TSA) consultations to improve services that landlords offer
- you have been instrumental in the selection process for SLH's new repair contractor
- you have consulted with Primary Care Trust (PCT) resulting in improved services in the area
- you have provided us with vital information to improve anti social behaviour in the area
